We support food and land projects that are ecologically, economically and socially conscious. We contribute to the wider movement that envisions a future where real food is produced by enlightened agriculture and access to it is equal.
We generally do not accept unsolicited applications for funding. Instead, we work closely with carefully selected partners who share our commitment to enlightened agriculture and social justice. We value long term partnerships and opportunities for mutual learning.
The majority of our partners are based in the UK. However, we do fund some international organisations whose work evidences a unique or innovative approach to our areas of interest or current priorities.
Encouraging authentic and enlightened food production and consumption.
Engaging communities with food to form meaningful connections to people and the land.
Disseminating the true value and interconnectivity of food and farming.
Endorsing responsible land management that works in harmony with nature.
Supporting the rights for people to work and live in dignity, providing assistance for marginalised food growing communities.
We recognise that conventional agricultural practices are a significant contributor to climate change. By adopting regenerative farming practices, the farming sector has the potential to sequester carbon, reduce soil erosion and contribute to ecosystem diversity without reducing crop yields. A Team Foundation have signed the Funder Commitment for Climate Change, committing to the six pillars. Our reporting is available below.
